That was a terrible response on behalf of Pagitt and I don't think it accurately represents what he believes. If you check out his book, Church Reimagined, you'll find that he states that accepting Christ as the sacrifice for your sins is only way to Heaven. He was, I believe, conflicted on how to answer that question, in respect to the problem of the eternal destination of those who have never heard the gospel.
Hmm...let me clarify that. I mean to say that Pagitt's response was terrible, not yours. He didn't represent what he preaches very well.
